Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing or Bachelor Degree in Nursing.
• Experience with pediatric population.
• Current registered nurse licensure in Illinois.
• Current first-aid and CPR program completion.
• Meets Illinois State Board of Education requirements for Educator Licensure with Stipulations (paraprofessional).
• A valid Illinois driver's license and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
• The job requires physical exertion (e.g. lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs, transferring students, driving).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing services to students in a school setting.
• Assist the classroom teacher/therapists in implementing the instructional program.
• Provide physical care as needed and administer medication with documentation.
• Communicate students' health and educational experiences to the team and parents.
• Maintain accurate medical records/logs of nursing procedures performed at school.
