The School Health Nurse II Grade 24 position may be unfilled with a School Health Nurse I Grade 21.

The expected salary range for a School Health Nurse I is $68,501 - $88,700. The expected salary range for a School Health Nurse II is $77,738 - $101,101.

Position Overview

We are seeking qualified candidates for our Full-Time Merit Community Health Nurse I/II (Public Health Services, School Health Services) positions. These are full-time positions (8 hours/day, year-round).

Responsibilities

• Arrange care for ill and injured students
• Identify health needs within the school population
• Provide health education to students and groups
• Conduct assessments, interventions, and case management for students with health needs
• Provide clinical oversight to School Health Room Technicians

This work involves standing or walking for long periods, lifting objects up to fifty pounds, working in various environments, and using keyboard devices. Please include your license number and expiration date on your resume and application.

Minimum Qualifications

Community Health Nurse I

Experience: None. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an NLN-accredited college or equivalent. License: Current RN license in Maryland or eligible via interstate compact.

Community Health Nurse II

Experience: Two years of post-licensure RN experience, with at least one year in a relevant nursing specialty. Education and license requirements are similar to Nurse I.
