Job summary

Cabarrus County School District's Mt. Pleasant High School in Mount Pleasant, NC is seeking a School Bus Driver to transport students and support activities. Immediate start is available and the role reports to the School Bus Supervisor/Transportation Planner.

Required are a NC commercial driver license with Passenger and School Bus endorsement, 18+ years of age, and at least one year of driving experience. Pre/post trip inspections and safety compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 1 year of driving experience as a licensed operator.
• Must be 18 years of age and able to obtain a NC CDL with Passenger/School Bus endorsement.
• Register in the FMCSA Clearinghouse; pre-employment checks required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a school bus for student transport to/from school and events.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections; report deficiencies.
• Maintain safety, discipline and passenger conduct on the bus.
• Record mileage and keep proper transportation logs.
• Comply with traffic laws and district policies; assist with drills as needed.
