Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work as a team member.
• Communicate in English with district employees, parents, students and the public.
• Must pass a yearly CORI check and have a clean driving record; fingerprinted before hire.
• Possess a valid Massachusetts CDL B license with air brake, passenger and school bus endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Operate a school bus or van to transport students and staff to/from schools and events.
• Transport special needs students to/from school and related locations.
• Deliver interschool mail, parcels, and supplies, plus Food Service deliveries.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance; keep vehicles clean.
• Maintain all required licenses; adhere to random drug and alcohol screening.
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned by Transportation Director, including after-school events.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
