Job summary

Hope Residential Academy is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician for a full-time, school-based role in Springfield, IL. Under supervision, you will support classrooms and residential homes, coach staff, and help implement behavioral plans for children with autism.

You will document observations in Therap, respond to crises, supervise youth, and collaborate with Behavioral Health professionals to ensure safe, effective care.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Hope Residential Academy programs and best practices.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practice for autism and developmental disabilities.
• Understanding of care, habilitation, and communication with youth with complex needs.
• Ability to follow Hope rules and resident habilitation programs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure staff presence in group homes during shifts and document observations.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support as needed.
• Guide staff in engaging children in activities and ensure correct documentation.
• Monitor supervision levels per Behavioral Support Plans.
• Complete behavior data accurately and provide feedback to professionals.
• Respond to emergencies and conduct behavior drills.
