Job summary

LMAS District Health Department is seeking a school-based Mental Health Specialist to independently provide on-site comprehensive mental health services from mild to moderate severity within the Les Cheneaux Community Schools.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree and be licensed in Michigan as an LMSW or LPC, with experience in intake, risk assessment, and treatment planning for children, adolescents, and young adults.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Master’s level degree in an appropriate discipline.
• Shall be licensed to practice in Michigan as a Licensed Master Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor.
• Experience providing confidential intake, risk assessment and treatment planning for children/adolescents/young adults is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site comprehensive mental health services from mild to moderate severity.
• Independently deliver evidence-based treatment within the school setting.
• Collaborate with community resources and school staff to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
