Daily Responsibilities

Sales Specialists are active within the store, engaging with customers, discussing project needs, and providing product information. You will become a product expert, informing customers about specifications, features, promotions, and financing options to close sales. You may work in departments such as Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Nursery, Millwork, Plumbing, Outlet, Tool Rental, Pro, or Windows & Walls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating product benefits
  • Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors, managing project estimates, scheduling, and follow-up
  • Focus on external accounts and outside sales if in the Pro Department
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with vendors
  • Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation
  • Support checkout and departmental requests
  • Train and coach new associates
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year customer-facing sales experience or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (or equivalent external experience)
  • Experience in sales or customer service with sales goals
  • Basic arithmetic, reading, and writing skills
  • Ability to stand and sit for extended periods
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs unassisted, or more with assistance
  • Obtain necessary sales-related licensure, supported and funded by Lowe's
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience completing customer sales orders
  • Experience promoting services like installation and delivery
  • Design experience using CAD systems
  • Relevant professional certifications
  • Bilingual skills
