Your Daily Activities

Sales Specialists are active, moving throughout the store, answering phones, and engaging with customers. Your main focus will be communicating with customers about project needs, explaining product features, and helping them achieve their home improvement goals. You will become a product expert, informing customers about specifications, promotions, and financing options to close sales.

You may work in departments such as Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Nursery, Millwork, Plumbing, Outlet, Tool Rental, Pro, or Windows & Walls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service by understanding needs and explaining product benefits
  • Serve as a point of contact for project estimates, scheduling, and order processing
  • Focus on external accounts and outside sales if in the Pro Department
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with vendors for stock
  • Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation
  • Support checkout and assistance requests
  • Train and coach fellow associates
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year sales/customer service experience or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (or equivalent external experience)
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
  • Ability to stand and sit for long periods
  • Lift at least 25 lbs unassisted
  • Obtain necessary sales licenses or registrations, supported and funded by Lowe's
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience completing customer sales orders
  • Experience promoting product services and plans
  • Design experience with CAD systems
  • Relevant professional certifications
  • Bilingual skills

Travel is occasional. Working conditions vary, including inside and outside environments, with exposure to weather and noise. Lifting guidelines should be followed for safety.
