Daily Responsibilities

Sales Specialists are active in the store, engaging with customers, discussing project needs, and providing product information. You will inform customers about specifications, features, promotions, and financing options to close sales, ensuring customer needs are met.

You may work in departments such as Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Nursery, Millwork, Plumbing, Outlet, Tool Rental, Pro, or Windows & Walls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service by understanding needs and explaining product benefits
  • Serve as a contact for customers and vendors, managing project estimates and follow-ups
  • If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and sales
  • Monitor inventory levels and support stock replenishment
  • Price products and maintain pricing documentation
  • Support checkout and assistance requests
  • Train and coach new associates
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year sales/customer-facing experience or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (or equivalent external experience)
  • Basic arithmetic, reading, and writing skills
  • Ability to stand/sit for long periods and lift 25 lbs unassisted
  • Obtain sales-related licensure if required by law
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in completing customer sales orders
  • Experience promoting services like installation or delivery
  • Design experience using CAD systems
  • Professional certifications related to the department
  • Bilingual skills

Working Conditions
