POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The Associate Lead is primarily responsible for supporting management in the overall operations of the store to ensure a great customer experience and maximum profitability. This includes performing various sales and register transactions.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Customer Service: Promote excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers, responding to inquiries and complaints professionally and promptly.
- Operations Activities: Handle cash transactions, reporting, price adjustments, merchandise handling, and opening/closing duties. Review and submit timesheets and payroll documentation accurately.
- Sales Monitoring: Monitor sales activities and productivity, acknowledge and communicate performance to associates, and motivate and train them to achieve goals.
- Security and Policies: Be aware of customer activity to enhance service and reduce security risks; stay updated on payment, exchange, and security policies.
- Merchandise Knowledge: Stay informed about current sales and promotions; display merchandise according to standards.
- Inventory Management: Support receipt and dispatch of inventory and supplies following company policies.
- Supervision: Supervise sales associates, inventory receipt, cash reconciliation, and customer service. Prepare weekly schedules for proper floor coverage.
- Sales Techniques: Demonstrate sales techniques, share product knowledge, and assist customers in locating merchandise based on their needs.
- Customer Relationships: Build and maintain customer loyalty through clienteling and wardrobe styling.
- Standards Maintenance: Ensure standards in merchandise handling, presentation, loss prevention, and other duties.
- Visual Merchandising: Participate in visual directives, including store set-ups and merchandise replenishment.
- Staff Development: Assist in developing store staff, interpret KPI reports, and provide coaching. Offer feedback for performance appraisals.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, noting that responsibilities may vary across different brands.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Preferred: Minimum 2 years of retail or sales management experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Willingness and ability to travel within the district.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Knowledge of store operations and administrative functions.
- Physical ability to stand, move, operate a register, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform related tasks.
- Reliable attendance and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
