Job summary

PACS is seeking an LPN/LVN nurse supervisor to provide direct nursing care and oversee day-to-day nursing activities in a long-term care facility. The role emphasizes leadership, regulatory compliance, and hands-on patient care under the direction of the Director of Nursing Services.

The incumbent will direct nursing assistants, manage schedules, supervise adherence to policy, and coordinate resident care plans, discharge planning, and quality assurance activities.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an LPN/LVN in this state.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Current CPR certification.
• Knowledge and experience with PCC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants.
• Ensure nursing personnel comply with facility policies and procedures.
• Participate in development and maintenance of the quality assurance program.
• Lead daily rounds, supervise staffing, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required.
• Chart and document accurately in resident records and reports.
• Administer medications as ordered by the physician and monitor patient status.
• Provide leadership and development for nursing staff and CNAs.
