Job summary

Securitas is hiring for a Full Time Security Officer to help keep our retail client’s site safe in Burlington, VT. This is a new client with an official start date of November 1st, 2026 (subject to change). Pay is $22.50/hr, with 8 hour shifts, 40 hours per week, 1st and 2nd shift (days TBD).

No security experience is required and growth opportunities are available. Vermont Guard Card or the ability to obtain this prior to starting work, high school diploma or GED, and being at least 18 years

Responsibilities

• Conduct interior and exterior patrols of the facility and surrounding property.
• Complete Daily Activity Reports (DARs) and Incident Reports accurately and timely.
• Respond to and verbally de-escalate situations as needed.
• Maintain a visible security presence to help deter unauthorized activity and safety concerns.

Schedule: 8 hour shifts, 40 hours per week, 1st and 2nd shift (days TBD)

Basic Requirements:

• Able to remain on their feet and walk throughout an 8-hour shift.
• Proficient with computers and digital reporting
• Maintains a professional appearance
• Dependable, punctual, and observant
• Vermont Guard Card or the ability to obtain this prior to starting work
• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old

Primary Security Officer Duties:

• Conduct interior and exterior patrols of the facility and surrounding property
