Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. in Birmingham is seeking a Full-Time Selling Floor Supervisor to join our store leadership team.

You will supervise store operations, coach associates, and collaborate with Store Management to drive profitable sales while delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires at least 1 year of supervisory retail experience, strong interpersonal and time-management skills, and availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of supervisory experience in an off-price, big box, or specialty environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a positive and engaging attitude.
• Strong time-management skills.
• Ability to plan, organize and adjust priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work a full-time schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as required.
• Ability to move/handle/lift store merchandise weighing 40 lbs. or more, and to stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all store functions and associates while in the role of Manager on Duty.
• Maximize sales results through training, developing, and coaching of direct reports.
• Promote safety for customers and associates by adhering to company guidelines.
• Cultivate a diverse culture based on teamwork and collaboration.
• Solve issues/concerns, make informed decisions, and supervise front-end operations to ensure excellent customer service.
• Reinforce Asset Protection strategies to eliminate shortage.
• Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new associates.
• Participate in weekly workload planning meetings.
• Drive community relations through company programs and partnerships.
• Coordinate meal and break periods and monitor schedule adherence.
