Job summary

The Next Door Nashville is seeking a Residential Therapist to provide evidence-based clinical services to women with substance use or mental health diagnoses in a recovery-focused program.

You will conduct trauma-informed individual and group counseling, complete ASAM assessments, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with a treatment team while maintaining documentation and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or related field is required.
• Licensed in Mental Health, Social Work or Marriage and Family preferred; LADAC II acceptable.
• Minimum 2 years experience with the target population preferred.
• Knowledge of best practices in addiction treatment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed individual, group and crisis counseling.
• Provide weekly psychotherapy and psychoeducational groups for clients.
• Provide weekly individual counseling for assigned clients.
• Complete ASAM and discharge stay ASAMs with weekly updated treatment plans.
• Attend weekly treatment team meetings and document in TNDR, Inc. policy.
• Assist in crisis management and maintain confidentiality.

Mission

The Next Door Recovery provides a continuum of evidence-based substance abuse and mental health services for women in an environment of faith and healing to restore hope and a lifetime of recovery.

Summary

To provide direct evidence-based clinical services for women who have a substance use disorder and/or mental health diagnosis. This includes functioning as the family therapist providing counseling sessions for the women and their family and/or primary support system, facilitating family groups and visitation as well as providing and coordinating individual and treatment services with the Residential program.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

Provide trauma-informed individual, group and crisis counseling.

Clinical assignments include, but are not limited to the following:

• Provide weekly psychotherapy and psychoeducational groups for clients.
• Provide weekly individual counseling for assigned clients.
• Complete ASAM and continued/discharge stay ASAMs along with Treatment plans updated weekly.
• Attend and participate in weekly treatment team meetings.
• Assist in managing clients’ crises as needed.
• Ensure timely and professional documentation in accordance with TNDR, Inc. policy, the ACA code of ethics.
• Ensure that TNDR, Inc. policies and procedures are followed at all times.
• Complete Biopsychosocial for assigned Clients within 24 hours of admit.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or related field is required.
• License preferred in Mental Health, Social Work or Marriage and Family, or LADAC II.
• Minimum of 2 years experience working with target population is preferred.
• Knowledge of and experience utilizing best practices in addiction treatment preferred.

• Valid driver’s license
• This is an “essential staff” position
