Job summary

Promises Behavioral Health in Kentucky is seeking a Full-Time Behavioral Health Technician to support adults in a residential treatment facility. The role provides around-the-clock supervision and helps create a therapeutic milieu for treatment initiatives.

The BHT position is entry-level and requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and strong communication skills. Benefits include a 401(k), medical, dental, and vision coverage, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in addiction or mental health fields preferred.
• High school diploma (or equivalent) preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Ability to communicate clearly and listen well in various situations.
• Knowledge of organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of medical, financial, and legal information.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices in client care.

Responsibilities

• Provide services to maintain a functioning milieu (e.g., transportation, safety, inventory).
• Access hygiene items and necessities for clients.
• Perform administrative tasks and maintain client records.
• Document vitals and support medical/nursing team with observations.
• Facilitate non-clinical group sessions within scope of practice.
