Elderwood Village at Colonie in Latham, NY is seeking a full-time Resident Activities Aide to plan and lead engaging activities for older adults. You will foster laughter, connection, and meaningful moments, guiding residents through group events and outings.

Ideal candidates are outgoing, creative, and dependable with a HS diploma and a NY driver's license. Join a supportive team focused on person-centered care and growth opportunities.

Qualificações

• Minimum 18 yrs. age required.
• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Valid New York Driver's License and clean driving record.
• Ability to develop good relationships with staff, volunteers, families and visitors.
• Ability to inspire and motivate others, create a warm and accepting climate for residents and be able to adapt and modify activities to meet their needs.
• Understanding of the rights and needs of residents.
• Physical stamina for constant activity.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English at an intermediate or higher level.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and lead fun, engaging recreational and social activities.
• Encourage participation in activities matching residents' interests and abilities.
• Spend one-on-one time with residents and get to know what makes them smile.
• Support special events, holiday celebrations, outings, and community activities.
• Work with volunteers, organizations, and guests to bring new experiences to residents.
• Maintain activity supplies, equipment, and department inventory.
• Document resident participation and observations with the care team.
• Foster an environment where every resident feels welcomed and valued.
