Job description

Full Time (Remote) Licensed Therapist - Arizona
  • Full-time

NOCD is an award-winning digital health company focused on identifying people with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and managing them using evidence-based treatment. Although OCD affects over 181 million people globally and is ranked by the W.H.O. as a top 10 most disabling condition, over 90% of the OCD population isn’t able to access effective care due to stigma and misdiagnosis. As a result, OCD patients often go untreated and suffer in silence, earning it the nickname "the secret illness."

NOCD is addressing this global issue by identifying OCD patients online and providing management through our evidence-based OCD treatment platform. Members can access licensed mental health professionals trained specifically in OCD via online diagnostic interviews, video-based teletherapy sessions, and message-based support. Between sessions, members can utilize moderated support communities and therapeutic tools to ensure continuous support, even when their provider isn't available. Our app-based, integrated model has been shown to be effective in reducing OCD symptoms, as evidenced by research from Columbia Medical Center.

Today, NOCD manages the largest community of OCD patients worldwide. We are supported by 7wire Ventures, a leading healthcare-focused venture capital firm in the United States. We are committed to changing lives and are seeking like-minded individuals to join us in expanding our efforts.

As a NOCD Professional, your role will be to help people with OCD learn to feel better. Members will be enrolled through our intake team and assigned to a practitioner.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Conducting diagnosis through clinical interviews via video to determine diagnostic impressions and treatment recommendations.
  2. Providing therapy through a research-backed program that includes live video sessions and app messaging, with follow-up check-ins as needed.

You will utilize your clinical experience, judgment, and our guidelines to determine when to refer members to external resources. Collaboration with our network of psychiatrists and therapists will be essential to develop and reinforce appropriate treatment plans.

Our practitioners receive ongoing support through:

  • Consultations with team members
  • Specialized clinical training with experienced OCD providers
  • Access to the latest research and clinical protocols
  • Process groups and one-on-one mentorship to support resilience and case discussion

Qualifications include:

  • Independently licensed mental health professional
  • MA degree or higher in a behavioral or mental health field (e.g., social work, counseling, psychology) from an accredited university
  • Full, unrestricted license in good standing in your state
  • At least 6 months of relevant experience with evidence-based therapies (e.g., ERP, CBT, ACT)
  • Knowledge or experience with OCD treatment using ERP and/or ACT is preferred but not required
  • Organized, quick learner, excellent communicator, receptive to feedback, good time management skills
  • Comfortable with technology and remote communication
  • Private, confidential workspace with reliable internet access
  • Ambitious and eager to thrive in a startup environment

Benefits include:

  • Remote work capability
  • Competitive compensation
  • Administrative and technical support
  • Access to professional development trainings
  • A supportive and encouraging team environment
