Job summary

Elior North America, the Cura-Hospitality brand, is seeking an experienced Full-Time Registered Dietitian to join the healthcare team at Mississippi State Hospital - Whitfield, MS. You will assess patients' nutritional needs, implement care plans, and work with the clinical team to support residents' well-being.

As part of our on-site program, you will educate patients and staff, adhere to Dietetics standards, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field.
• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed the national examination by the CDR or meets Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics eligibility requirements.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years, per CDR.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents' rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participating in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.

The Role At a Glance

We are looking to add an experienced Full-Time Registered Dietitian to our healthcare team in Whitfield, MS. As a Registered Dietitian, you will have the opportunity to identify and assess the nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain individuals nutritional status, and enhance quality of life consistent with patient's/resident's goals.

• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents' rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working in healthcare or long-term care.

Compensation Range

• $30.00 - $34.00 per hour, depending on experience.
