Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a Registered Dietitian for our Whitfield, MS healthcare team. You will assess patients’ nutritional needs, initiate interventions, and improve quality of life aligned with patient goals.

As part of the healthcare team, you’ll educate patients, staff, and consultants, follow nutrition standards, and collaborate across departments to implement dining and nutrition procedures while contributing to ongoing quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Required).
• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field (Preferred).
• Passed the CDR national exam or meets eligibility requirements.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Adhere to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to set up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participate in developing, reviewing, and improving continuous quality improvement programs.

The Role At a Glance

We are looking to add an experienced Full-Time Registered Dietitian to our healthcare team in Whitfield, MS. As a Registered Dietitian, you will have the opportunity to identify and assess the nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain individuals nutritional status, and enhance quality of life consistent with patient’s/resident’s goals.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participating in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field
• Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working in healthcare or long-term care.

Compensation Range

• $30.00 - $34.00 per hour, depending on experience.
