Job summary

The City of Luling is seeking a full-time Recreation Coordinator to plan, implement, and evaluate community recreation programs and events. This role supports city parks, facilities, and municipal buildings under the Parks and Recreation Director, delivering diverse programs for residents with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities include event planning, marketing, budgeting, registration support, and public-facing customer service, with evening/weekend availability as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in recreational programming or parks management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Plans and organizes various types of programs and special events including activities, programs, sports, events, and classes.
• Coordinates and performs a variety of marketing tasks, including flyers and social media updates.
• Develops and administers program/event budgets, tracks revenue and expenditures.
• Provides customer service and assists with program registration and facility bookings.
