Job summary

Liberation Programs operates in Stamford, CT and is seeking a Full-Time Driver for Liberation House to provide safe, reliable transportation for recoverees and staff, while helping to maintain vehicles per regulatory standards. Transport between program sites, deliver mail and supplies, and ensure safety equipment and compliance are core parts of the role.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or equivalent and strong oral/presentation skills to represent the agency in the community.

Responsibilities

• Transport recoverees and staff to and from various destinations in a safe and timely manner
• Transport program and agency supplies including mail and documents between agency programs when directed by supervisor
• Assure the maintenance and service of assigned vehicle is completed as expected
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards
• Ensure vehicle is equipped with safety equipment
• Inform maintenance and supervisory staff of potential safety issues or hazards
• Be aware of universal precautions
• Assists in creating a friendly, welcoming environment
• Maintains a safe environment for employees, visitors and recoverees
• Assume responsibility for all other activities as assigned by the Operations Manager
