Job description

Full-Time RBT/Registered Behavior Technician Opening for 2024-2025 Year | Near Waterford, CT

Minimum 1+ years Behavior Specialist experience required.

Position Type: Full-time (30+ hours/week) through 2024-2025 school year

Caseload: 1:1 with a 3rd grade student, more specific details available on interview

Pay Range: $22-30/hour, paid weekly

As an RBT, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to implement behavior intervention plans and support students with diverse needs in a school setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to students with behavioral challenges, utilizing applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques and strategies.
  • Implement individualized behavior plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or behavior specialist.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress and make data-driven decisions to modify intervention strategies as needed.
  • Support students in developing social skills, self-regulation, and independence.

Qualifications

  • Valid RBT certification.
  • Solid understanding and practical application of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles.
  • Strong organizational and data collection skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow directions from supervising professionals.
