Job summary

Orlando Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging and related procedures, ensuring high-quality images for interpretation while adhering to radiation safety principles. You will assess patients, position them and equipment, and document clinical history in the patient record.

This role requires graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, Florida licensure, ARRT certification, and current BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Florida licensure as Radiologic Technologist.
• ARRT certification.
• Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy and/or physiology for interpretation.
• Executes professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor aligned with quality care.
• Delivers appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures.
• Complies with state and federal regulations applicable to each modality.
• Adheres to Orlando Health mission statements and strategic imperatives.
• Assesses patient’s physical condition and age-specific needs.
• Provides instructions to achieve patient cooperation and desired results.
• Performs patient identification, documents clinical history accurately.
• Positions patient and equipment to obtain high-quality images.
• Assesses diagnostic images for technical quality and correct anatomy delineation.
• Applies principles of radiation safety to minimize exposure.
• Participates in Quality Control tasks and standards.
• Demonstrates proficiency in contrast administration and manages adverse reactions.
• Uses personal protective equipment to prevent cross-contamination.
• Supervises student technologists and trains new technologists.
