Job summary

Cardinal Health in Chula Vista, CA is seeking a Radiation Therapist to join our Radiation Therapy team affiliated with UC San Diego Health Physician Network. The role involves administering prescribed doses, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining treatment records in a patient-centered care environment.

The position offers an anticipated hourly rate of $52 to $74.10 with a $5,000 sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
• ARRT Board certification preferred.
• Two years clinical experience in similar setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer radiation therapy as prescribed by the physician.
• Verify prescribed treatment dose before each treatment; verify fields to be treated, and angles to be used.
• Ensure placement of protective devices to shield healthy tissue.
• Simulate patients using simulator, CT scanner or other devices to localize treatment areas.
• Maintain accurate and detailed treatment chart documentation.
• Observe clinical progress and report signs of complications.
• Perform machine safety checks and report abnormalities to Center Leader.
• Collaborate with Radiation Oncologist and therapy team on treatment plan.
