Job summary

UPMC in Pittsburgh is seeking a Full-Time Pulmonary Technologist to perform pulmonary function tests and support the lab's readiness. The role is based at CHP Main Campus in Lawrenceville with occasional travel to satellite locations.

You will operate and monitor PFT equipment, ensure accurate results, sterilize instruments, and assist physicians with bronchoscopies. A CO ARC-approved respiratory program, PA RCP license, and BLS/CPR are required.

  • Operates and monitors pulmonary function equipment, making adjustments and calibrations as needed.

  • Cleans and sterilizes equipment according to established guidelines.
  • Reviews test results to ensure accuracy.
  • Provides for and maintains professional growth, orients/precepts, attends and may teach classes.
  • Performs pulmonary function tests, explains procedures to patients & families, and prepares patients for the test.
  • Assists physicians with bronchoscopies.
