Elderwood at Cheektowaga is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist Assistant to join our therapy team in Cheektowaga, NY. You will work under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist to provide effective therapy services that improve mobility and independence for residents.

The role requires NY PTA licensure, CPR/BLS certification, and strong communication skills. We offer full-time hours with rotating weekends and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• New York State PTA license is required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification is required.
• Excellent communication and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans.
• Record resident progress and behavior in clinical notes.
• Maintain therapy supplies and ensure equipment sanitation.
• Participate in in-service trainings and team meetings.
• Uphold confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
• Assist in planning and carrying out treatment programs for residents.
• Write observations of resident progress in Progress Notes.
• Maintain departmental reports as requested by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist with in-service training programs and daily sanitation.
