Job summary

Center at Eden Hill in Dover, DE is seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapy Assistant to provide direct rehab care under a Physical Therapist after evaluation and plan of care.

Responsibilities include manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, ambulation, and use of assistive devices. You will assess progress, document outcomes, and communicate with the supervising therapist to adjust treatments as needed.

Qualifications

• Current PTA license/certification required.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative, skilled and medically necessary treatment intervention to patients with physical functioning disorders per regulatory and clinical practice requirements under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Work closely with patients, family members and other care team members to adequately plan for patient needs, including short and long term goals.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan to include: manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, use of supportive and assistive devices, under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Assess patient's progress and communicate with supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatments accordingly.
• Report effectiveness of treatment outcomes to supervisor.
• Effectively communicate with supervisor and other team members regarding progress, barriers and treatment plans.
