Job summary

A full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) is sought to join a skilled nursing facility in Lafayette, NJ. The PTA will provide skilled intervention under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, ensure HIPAA compliance, document progress, and communicate with the supervising PT to address patient needs.

We offer a competitive hourly salary of $33–$39 plus medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO and sick time, with opportunities for growth within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Valid PTA license (NJ required).
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Experience in skilled nursing facilities preferred.
• Familiarity with Rehab Optima (or similar EMR) preferred.
• New graduates welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled therapeutic intervention and services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Follow all facility regulations and guidelines, including confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Adhere to scheduled hours and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
• Document patient progress and provide caregiver/patient education as appropriate.
• Communicate regularly with supervising Physical Therapist regarding patient progress and clinical needs.
• Ensure safe treatment practices, monitor patient response, and modify interventions as needed.
