Job summary

Scheels is hiring a Full-time Processing Associate for mornings, evenings, and weekends at our Sandy, UT location. You will handle incoming merchandise, tag and price items, assist the Merchandising Teams in distributing items to the correct Specialty Shop, and operate a pallet jack in a fast-paced store environment.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of related experience and can navigate a handheld inventory scanner with accuracy.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of related experience and/or training
  • Ability to sit/stand, bend, lift up to 100 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming merchandise with efficiency to ensure correct counts
  • Tag, fold, hang, and price merchandise for sales floor or back stock
  • Assist Merchandising Teams in distributing items to the correct Specialty Shop
  • Organize clothing hangers and size labels
  • Break down cardboard boxes and dispose of them in the trash compactor
  • Operate a pallet jack to move shipments between platforms, storage, and work areas
  • Maintain high accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Navigate computer and handheld inventory scanner
  • Maintain professional appearance and contribute to a positive team atmosphere
  • Maintain orderly personal workspace and surroundings for safety

Education & Experience:

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.

Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
