Scheels All Sports, Inc. is seeking a Part-time Exercise, Nutrition, Drinkware, and Toy Sales Associate to welcome customers, assess their needs, and guide them to the right products.

This on-site position at the Sandy, Utah store requires enthusiasm for delivering a personalized customer experience and contributing to a team-driven environment. Responsibilities include upselling Scheels Visa Credit Card, maintaining visual merchandising standards, stocking and inventory tasks, and participating

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1–3 months sales experience preferred.
• Customer service orientation with the ability to engage with customers on the sales floor.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers on the sales floor with courtesy and a welcoming attitude.
• Engage customers to determine needs, promote products, and upsell Scheels Visa Credit Card.
• Hit sales goals while following Scheels' sales standards and customer experience guidelines.
• Maintain positive end-user experiences and assist with merchandising, freight processing, and stock replenishment.
• Attend product training and store meetings; assist in training new associates as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Greet all customers on the sales floor with genuine courtesy and a smile, to ensure they feel welcomed the moment they enter your shop
• Deliver exceptional customer service by seeking out and engaging with customers, going through the steps of the sale to determine their needs, recommending appropriate products, and promoting the Scheels Visa Credit Card
• Grow personal sales by consistently hitting set goals and following Scheels' professional salesmanship standards and the steps of the sale to provide an above‑and‑beyond customer experience
• Create a positive end‑user experience based on the products the customer is purchasing
• Maintain a high standard of visual merchandising and support the team with freight processing and inventory restocking
• Ability to demonstrate product usage within their shop and retrieve product from heights of greater than 6 ftAttend all required Scheels product training and all store meetings
• Assist in the training of new associates in the areas of the store's expertise
• Ability to navigate a personal computer and a handheld inventory computer/scanner. Programs include: Microsoft Office, Google Email / Docs, and AS400
• Assist in all other assigned duties by the leadership team

Education & Experience:

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1-3 months of sales experience

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.

Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
