Strides Therapy & Educational Services is seeking a Private School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students at High Roads Private Schools in Frederick County, MD. You will conduct assessments, develop individualized plans, and provide evidence-based interventions within a school setting.

The role emphasizes collaboration with educators, parents, and other professionals, participation in IEP meetings, and adherence to regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Maryland licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist or willingness to obtain
• ASHA CCC-SLP certification (CF setting acceptable)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify communication disorders and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based speech-language pathology interventions to improve articulation, language, and fluency.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school-based team to support classroom participation.

Position Overview

High Roads of Frederick County is looking for a full- time Speech Language Pathologist to join their team. You will play a vital role in helping students overcome communication challenges, improve their speech and language skills, and achieve their educational goals. Your expertise will be essential in promoting students' overall success and well-being in the school environment.

This position would follow the Frederick County School Calendar with the anticipated hours being up to 37.5 per week for full- time employees.

Responsibilities

• The Speech Language Pathologist will conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify students' communication disorders and develop individualized treatment plans.


• Provide evidence-based speech and language pathology interventions and strategies to improve students' communication, articulation, fluency, and language skills.


• Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other members of the school-based team to create and implement strategies that support students' participation in the classroom and social activities.


• Monitor and document students' progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.


• Offer guidance and education to parents, teachers, and support staff on strategies to enhance students' communication skills and facilitate carryover into the classroom.


• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including session notes, progress reports, and billing documentation.


• Stay current with the latest research, best practices, and techniques in speech-language pathology.


• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, team meetings, and school-based professional development opportunities.


• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and ethical standards governing speech-language pathology services in schools.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.


• Maryland State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist or willing to obtain


• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) unless a CF.


• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
