Job description

The Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks, at Fort Smith, AR, is seeking a full-time Primary Care Physician. Candidates must have completed residency training leading to board eligibility/certification and possess an active, current, unrestricted license in any U.S. State.

Highlights of this opportunity:

1. Potential starting base salary range: $200,000-$250,000
2. Permanent full-time position
3. Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm schedule
4. Records history and physical examinations from clinic visits
5. Evaluates, consults, develops diagnoses, and manages the primary care panel of assigned patients
6. Enters progress notes in the electronic medical record and completes workload documentation promptly
7. Orders diagnostic tests, medications, and laboratory tests as medically relevant
8. Determines medical assessments and develops treatment plans according to accepted protocols
9. Prescribes medications according to approved formulary and in accordance with Federal and State Law
