About Our School

The ECLC is a play-based, child-centered program focused on social-emotional development, curiosity, and community. We believe in supporting the whole child and the whole teacher. As part of the Gordon JCC, we welcome educators of all backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Partner with a co-teacher to plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum
• Foster a warm, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
• Support children's social-emotional growth
• Maintain open and professional communication with families
• Ensure classroom safety and compliance with DHS licensing standards
• Participate in school events and professional development opportunities
• $19-$23 per hour, based on education and experience
• Candidates with extensive experience and a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related fi eld may be considered at the higher end of the pay range
• Two weeks off in the winter (December 21-January 1)
• One week in July for teacher in-service and classroom preparation (July 27-31)
• Labor Day, Yom Kippur, Thanksgiving, Friday after Thanksgiving, Passover, Memorial Day & July 4th off (8 days)
• Free JCC family membership (includes fi tness center, pool access, and community programming)
