Job summary

School of the Incarnation in Gambrills, MD is seeking a full-time PreK Instructional Assistant for the 2026-2027 school year and beyond. The successful candidate will provide active support to teachers in a classroom setting, including grading, material prep, small groups, and one-on-one assistance.

Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma, 90-hour Child Care Certification, and a commitment to Catholic education; First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 90-hour Child Care Certification preferred.
• Experience in a Catholic school setting preferred.
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to Catholic school education.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
• Prepare age-appropriate instructional materials.
• Assist with organizing and preparing resources for students.
• Support the integration of technology to create 21st-century learning environments per ISTE.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, students and parents to support progress.
• Ensure safety and active supervision of students at all times.
• Participate in faculty meetings, retreats, committees and development opportunities.
• Communicate with parents in a professional and timely manner.

Education
