Job summary

JCC Greater Boston in Newton, MA seeks a passionate Certified Pre-K Teacher to join a mission-driven learning community. You will create engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans and collaborate with a dedicated team to foster social-emotional growth in young learners.

As a valued educator, you will document student progress, communicate with families, and uphold high standards of professionalism. The role offers a full-time schedule with a salary range aligned to experience and scope

Qualifications

• Requires EEC Teacher certification and an A.A. in Early Childhood Education; minimum one year of supervised relevant work experience.
• B.A. in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; equivalent combination may be substituted per discretion.

Responsibilities

• Align with core values and collaborate with co-teachers, colleagues and the director to develop a high quality program around observations supporting development.
• Implement developmentally appropriate early childhood curriculum; document interactions and experiences.
• Assess developmental stages and maintain records; write progress reports using COR Advantage; conduct play-based assessments.
• Adhere to Mass EEC, JCC SHEVA frameworks and curriculum guidelines; comply with EEC regulations and NAEYC guidelines.
• Maintain an organized, vibrant classroom environment promoting health, safety and development.
• Set limits with positive language and provide emotional safety; maintain classroom management.
• Document learning as an instructional tool; use portfolios, checklists, and photos.
• Develop positive relationships with families; communicate about transitions and progress; participate in parent conferences.
