Job description

Swedish Medical Group is seeking a Physiatrist to join the Swedish Multiple Sclerosis Center, part of the renowned Swedish Neuroscience Institute, providing dedicated rehabilitation medicine care to a large and diverse population of patients.

This position offers a distinctive opportunity to build a focused practice within a comprehensive, multidisciplinary MS Center, working alongside neurologists, nursing staff, and physical and occupational therapy.

The role centers on outpatient neurorehabilitation and spasticity management for patients across the full spectrum of disease severity — from ambulatory patients with focal spasticity to those with advanced mobility impairment — including botulinum toxin injection procedures with EMG guidance.

While the majority of the caseload will be MS patients, the physiatrist will also provide similar services to a smaller population of patients with ALS.

The physiatrist will also help guide decisions around complex bracing, orthotics, and assistive technology as patients' needs evolve with disease progression.

The ideal candidate is passionate about neuroimmunologic and neurodegenerative rehabilitation, comfortable managing a high-volume, complex caseload centered on MS, and motivated to help build a sustainable, patient-centered practice within a collaborative center model.

  • Primary clinical focus on MS patients, with a smaller portion of the caseload dedicated to ALS and movement disorders patients requiring similar rehabilitation services
  • Participation in provider meetings and cross-departmental care coordination
  • Opportunities for patient education and community-facing engagement consistent with the MS Center's mission
  • Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package
