Job Summary:

The Physical Therapist Assistant will help Physical Therapists provide physical therapy treatments and procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Instruct, motivate, safeguard, and assist patients during exercises or activities.
  • Observe and evaluate patient responses, report progress to Physical Therapists.
  • Discuss and coordinate treatment plans with staff and educate caregivers and family members.
  • Transport and position patients, secure them on therapy equipment.
  • Administer manual exercises, therapeutic massage, aquatic therapy, and modalities like ultrasound.
  • Measure joint motion, vital signs, and document treatment effects.
  • Monitor equipment and record usage and treatments.
  • Fit patients for braces, prostheses, and supportive devices.
Required Skills and Abilities:
