Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Title I Assistants must have 48 college credits or pass the Paraprofessional Assessment, or have an Associate's Degree or higher.
• Some experience working with children is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the PE teacher with instructional activities and student reinforcement.
• Establish and maintain standards of student behavior.
• Create a learning environment conducive to student maturity and interests.
• Escort and assist children as needed and maintain student records.
• Set up equipment for classes and monitor use of facilities.
• Perform office tasks such as photocopying, filing, and answering calls.
