Sturdy Memorial Hospital, Inc. is seeking a phlebotomist to collect blood specimens by venipuncture or capillary puncture and to guide patients through specimen collection. You will process specimens and assist with result tracking under established supervision.

The role includes clerical duties in the lab, patient reception, and age-appropriate collection across sub-acute and long-term care environments. A valid phlebotomy certification or eligibility is required within one year of hire.

Formación

• Minimum 1–3 years' experience as a phlebotomist in a hospital laboratory setting.
• Excellent command of oral and written English; strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
• Massachusetts or Rhode Island driving license; phlebotomy certification or eligibility; certification required within one year of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Collect blood specimens via venipuncture or capillary puncture; instruct patients on urine and other specimen collection.
• Process specimens and track receipt of results; perform lab testing under supervision after training.
• Provide clerical/receptionist support for receiving, directing, and processing patient specimens in the lab; work with various age groups in multiple care settings.
