Job summary

Skowhegan Savings Bank is seeking a Personal Banker for our Main Office in Skowhegan. This full-time role (37.5–40 hours weekly) consists of Monday–Friday shifts with some Saturday hours.

The starting pay ranges from $17.25 to $20.00 per hour, with potential growth up to $25.77 per hour as experience increases. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will service customers, process transactions, cross-sell bank products, and assist with loans and other banking needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required (exception for high school branch teller).
• One year experience in retail banking, lending, sales, customer service or cash handling.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proven ability to multitask and communicate clearly.
• Dependable, flexible team player who remains calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide a welcoming, service-oriented environment.
• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Cross-sell bank products and services to build relationships.
• Maintain cash drawer balance and perform end-of-day activities.
• Assist with ATM operations and cash handling as needed.
• Participate in training and community events as required.
• Support branch manager and adhere to bank policies.
