Job summary

The University of Miami is seeking a Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing care in various school locations in Miami Dade County, under RN supervision.

Responsibilities include administering medications, maintaining student health records, and coordinating care with school staff and medical teams. Must have Florida LPN license, BLS, and willingness to work school hours and after-school events.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; LPN license required.
• Florida LPN license is required and BLS certification is required.
• BLS from American Heart Association is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care under RN supervision.
• Administer medications and treatments as assigned.
• Record patient data concisely and accurately.
• Coordinate care with RNs, MDs, and school staff.
• Support pre/postoperative health teaching for patients and families.
• Maintain clinic inventory and ensure infection control standards.
