Job summary

The Betty Jean Kerr People's Health Centers is seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to provide expert clinical care for infants, children, and adolescents in the St. Louis area.

The role emphasizes diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic pediatric conditions, with focus on critical care and oncology, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. You will educate families, develop care plans, engage in clinical research, and contribute to nursing education to advance

Qualifications

• Missouri NP license required.
• PNP certification from an accredited body.
• Minimum 2 years pediatric nursing experience including critical care or oncology.
• BLS and PALS certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments and physical examinations of pediatric patients across various care settings.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses, including critical care and oncology cases, utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide patient and family education on disease processes, treatment plans, medication administration, and preventive health strategies.
• Participate in clinical research projects to improve pediatric care outcomes and contribute to nursing education programs to mentor staff and students.
