Job summary

Sentara Albemarle Medical Center in Elizabeth City, NC is hiring a Patient Dining Associate. You will play a key role in patient meals and dietary needs on assigned units, collaborating with Food & Nutrition Services and nursing staff.

The role requires customer service experience and a HS diploma (or equivalent); experience may substitute for the diploma. Full-time, rotating 12-hour shifts, and weekend coverage supported by the cafeteria hours.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent; experience may substitute.
• Customer service experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient meal service on assigned units.
• Communicate patient food issues to Food & Nutrition Services and Nursing regarding nutrition needs.
• Assist dietitian with monitoring of patients on NPO, clear liquid and full liquid diets and record food intake for intake analysis.
• Ensure timely service and accuracy of physician-modified diets.
• Maintain patient satisfaction on assigned units.
