Job summary

UF Health in Gainesville seeks a dedicated Patient Care Assistant to support Registered Nurses in delivering safe, compassionate care. This full-time role offers 36 hours per week with variable days, shift 7:00am–7:00pm, and on-site work in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifying candidates include licensed EMT/paramedic or CNA with high school diploma and one year of patient-care experience, nursing student in approved program, or recent nursing graduates awaiting NCLEX.

Qualifications

• Licensed EMT or Paramedic, or CNA with high school diploma and one year patient-care experience.
• Nursing student in an approved program or recent nursing graduates awaiting NCLEX (up to 90 days post graduation).
• CNAs with instructor recommendation (for state-approved CNA programs).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Registered Nurse with routine procedures under supervision.
• Provide nursing support to help achieve patient-care goals.
• Adhere to care plans and report changes in patient condition promptly.
