Job summary

PPLM is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to provide patient-facing and clinical support at our health center in Marlboro, MA. You will greet patients, assist with check-in/out, and help with appointments, insurance verification, and charting in the EHR system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; medical assistant training preferred.
• 1–3 years of relevant healthcare experience preferred.
• Customer service or healthcare experience strongly preferred.
• Comfort working with diverse patient populations.
• Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and remain active throughout most of the shift.

Responsibilities

• Document patient information accurately in EHR and maintain HIPAA compliance.

Position Summary

The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) plays a vital role in delivering high‑quality, patient‑facing services throughout each patient visit. PCAs work both at the front desk/lobby and within the health center, ensuring compassionate, professional, and efficient care at every touchpoint.
