Job summary

Hacienda Del Sol in Tucson, Arizona is seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. This is a full-time, hourly position dedicated to creating pastries and desserts that enhance the guest experience.

As a Pastry Cook, you will collaborate with the Pastry Chef to execute recipes, maintain a clean station, and support events such as weddings. Flexibility including evenings and weekends is required; culinary training is a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous pastry cooking experience in a professional kitchen.
• Knowledge of various pastry techniques and methods.
• Ability to follow recipes and measurements accurately.
• Creativity and attention to detail for plating and presentation.
• Strong time management and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Culinary education or training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and prepare a variety of pastries and desserts according to recipes and standards set by the Pastry Chef.
• Decorate and present pastries and desserts in an aesthetically pleasing manner.
• Ensure the quality, taste, and presentation of all pastries and desserts meet our high standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized pastry station and kitchen area.
• Order and maintain inventory of pastry ingredients and supplies.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan and execute special dessert menus for events and weddings.
• Assist in training and mentoring new pastry staff members.
