Job description

Company Story

The car accident that started Therafit Rehab. Rich Ayres (brother and uncle to our company owners, Justin Gilligan and Gina Della) was struck by a drunk driver head-on in January of 2001. Due to the accident, Rich suffered a traumatic brain injury and his life was instantly changed. He was in a vegetative state with very limited therapy resources due to his limited awareness and resources to treat his condition.

It was a long road to recovery. Most of Rich’s rehab was performed at home by his sister, Gina Della. Realizing the severe gap in outpatient Neurological Rehab, Gina set out to do something about it. In Jan of 2006, we opened our first Therafit Rehab location in Westminster MD. Today, Therafit Rehab has 6 locations in Maryland and New Jersey, providing specialized neurological outpatient rehabilitation.

Therafit Rehab is dedicated to helping people live the most fulfilling and independent lives possible. We offer Physical, Occupational, Speech therapy, as well as fitness and cash based programs. All our clients are treated one-on-one to allow for optimal patient-centered care.

Why Therafit?
  • 1-on-1 Patient care: Embrace the opportunity to treat patients one-on-one, allowing for deeper connections and effective therapy. With an average of 10 patients per day, you'll have the time and space to deliver truly impactful care.
  • Mentoring & Growth: We have a detailed mentoring program, designed for both new and experienced therapists. Grow through roles like Senior Therapist, Team Lead, Clinic Director, Regional Director, and even Partner.
  • We work together: We have cultivated a strong team of physical, occupational, and speech therapists. We encourage collaboration with other disciplines to optimize care for our clients and growth for our therapists.
  • Community at Heart: Engage in meaningful community events like wheelchair washes, workshops, and support groups, making a real difference in the lives of those we serve.
  • Flexibility & Balance: Enjoy a harmonious work-life balance with a thoughtful schedule – ample time for documentation, and the flexibility to work from anywhere in the clinic or at home.
Patient Populations We Treat

We serve 3 main patient populations: Neurological conditions including Cerebral Palsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Spinal Cord Injury, TBI, CVA, Parkinson's Disease, vestibular disorders, and pediatrics, including ASD, developmental delay, pediatric feeding.

Our Mentorship Program

We understand the importance of growth for both new grads and experienced therapists. That's why we've designed a unique mentoring program tailored to your needs, whether you're just starting out or looking to specialize in neuro-based therapy.

Our program offers hands-on training with a senior mentor, focusing on the essential aspects of neuro-rehabilitation. Through weekly meetings and direct treatment guidance, your mentor will be a constant source of support and knowledge, helping you navigate complex cases and broaden your skills.

As you progress, the program shifts to monthly meetings and weekly email check-ins, continuing for up to a year or until you feel fully confident in your abilities. This approach ensures that you're never alone on your journey to becoming a proficient therapist.

What We Offer:
  • Competitive Compensation & Benefits: Attractive salary, 401(k) matching, Health/Dental/Vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Paid Time Off, Flexible Schedules, CEU reimbursement, and up to $2500 in Relocation Assistance.
  • A Culture of Learning: Ongoing education through in-house courses and a supportive environment for lifelong learning.
  • Diversity & Inclusion: A workplace where everyone's uniqueness is celebrated, and all team members are equally valued and respected.
