The Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine is expanding care for the community in our close‑to‑home strategy, and creating tremendous growth and opportunity for career advancement, including leadership opportunities. Connecticut Children’s is a 187‑bed, free‑standing, tertiary care teaching hospital which serves as the primary pediatric teaching site for the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. The hospital includes a Level 1 Trauma Center, a full cadre of pediatric specialists, and offers comprehensive, world‑class health care to children. The AP‑Nursery/Hosp is accountable for delivering comprehensive quality patient care, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions according to standards of practice for children in the nursery, and may lend additional support to the Pediatric Hospital Medicine attending in the care of pediatric patients. The practitioner functions as a member of an inpatient physician team within an integrated academic model.
