Job summary

City of South Jordan is seeking a Full-Time Parks Maintenance Worker to keep parks safe and beautiful. The role runs 6:30 am–4:00 pm and includes outdoor maintenance, equipment operation, and routine facility upkeep.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 18+ years old, and a Utah Class D Driver License; ability to obtain a Turf & Ornamental Pesticide License within six months. On-call rotations for snowstorms and events are part of duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Utah Class D Driver License required.
• Able to obtain Utah Pesticide Applicators License (Turf & Ornamental) within six months of hire.
• Experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance preferred.
• Able to perform physical labor and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to communicate effectively and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning, maintenance, and repairs to park facilities such as restrooms, pavilions, playgrounds, fields, and more.
• Operate mowers, trimmers, tractors, and snow removal equipment.
