Job summary

Zen Educate is seeking Para Educators for a full-time role to support students, including those with special needs, in a classroom setting. You will assist licensed staff, reinforce lessons, and help implement IEPs in small groups or one-on-one.

The position emphasizes student wellbeing, learning enhancement through varied teaching methods, and crisis support. Pedagogy experience and English proficiency are required, with US work authorization noted.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• 1+ years experience in childcare/education.
• Applicants must have professional proficiency in English.
• US Work Authorization - Zen Educate cannot provide sponsorship for an employment visa or relocation assistance at this time.

Responsibilities

• Assisting licensed staff in the classroom.
• Aid students in meeting their IEP.
• Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Work with individuals and/or small groups during activities.
• Provide support for students in crisis.
• Utilize various learning methods to enhance student learning.
• Behavior management and de-escalation support.
• Celebrate the students you're working with.
• Support students with elements of personal care (feeding, toileting, etc.).
